FBA Returnless Resolutions goes live in the UK and EU

FBA sellers in five European stores can now settle eligible returns by refunding the customer and letting them keep the item, so low-value products never travel back to a fulfilment centre. Enrolment is optional and you control which items qualify by setting a price ceiling.

What exactly is changing

  • Switch it on in Seller Central under Settings → Fulfilment by Amazon → FBA returns evaluation & ownership settings.
  • Set a maximum item price between €1.00 and €75.00, or £1.00 to £75.00 on Amazon.co.uk.
  • Apply it across all ASINs with a CSV exclusion list, or only to ASINs you pick.
  • Each return is judged individually; qualifying ones are refunded automatically and the customer keeps the item.
  • Outcomes appear in FBA Returns under the Return status column.
  • Returns settled this way are not eligible for inventory reimbursement and still count toward your return rate.

Why this matters for sellers

On low-priced items the cost of getting a unit back — return shipping, inspection, restocking or disposal — routinely exceeds what the unit is worth. Letting the customer keep it is often the cheaper outcome. The decision to be careful about is the price ceiling: set it too high and you are writing off sellable inventory, because returns settled this way cannot be reimbursed and still count toward your return rate.

What to do next

  1. 1Work out, per category, the unit price below which a return costs more to process than to write off.
  2. 2Enable it under Settings → Fulfilment by Amazon → FBA returns evaluation & ownership settings, starting with a conservative price cap.
  3. 3Exclude high-value or easily resold ASINs via the CSV exclusion list.
  4. 4Review outcomes in FBA Returns after a month and adjust the cap on real numbers rather than an estimate.
