UK Seller Fulfilled Prime moves to tier-based eligibility

From 30 October 2026, Amazon judges Seller Fulfilled Prime eligibility in the UK store per product tier rather than across your whole account. Sellers running SFP on large or bulky items are most affected — a weak tier no longer hides behind a strong account average.

What exactly is changing

  • SFP products are split into three tiers: standard-size, oversize and extra-large.
  • Weekend-capable shipping, on-time shipment rate, Buy Shipping or Easy Ship usage and cancellation rate are all assessed per tier.
  • Standard-size adds a speed rule: at least 25% of customer page views must show a next-day delivery date.
  • Extra-large gains carrier freedom for Prime shipments.
  • A grace period runs until 6 January 2027 before the new tier-specific requirements bite.

Why this matters for sellers

Under the old account-level assessment, strong performance on small items could carry weak performance on bulky ones. That cover is gone. A seller comfortably passing SFP overall can now lose the Prime badge on an entire tier — usually oversize or extra-large, where carrier options are thinner and on-time rates are harder to hold. For bulky-goods sellers this is the most consequential change on the list.

What to do next

  1. 1Split your SFP catalogue into the three tiers and pull on-time shipment, cancellation and Buy Shipping usage for each separately.
  2. 2Fix the weakest tier first — that is where the badge is at risk.
  3. 3For standard-size, check what share of page views currently show a next-day date and whether your carrier mix can get it above 25%.
  4. 4Use the grace period to 6 January 2027 to make changes; after that the requirements apply in full.
