Amazon.ae vs Noon Fees 2026-27: What You Keep per Product

By Rahul Bisht, CoTasks | Last updated: 2 November 2026 | 9 min read
The short answer
For most categories, Amazon.ae and noon charge almost the same. Home and kitchen is 15% on both, and a standard parcel of 0.5 to 1 kg costs AED 10.50 to fulfil on either platform when the item sells above AED 25.
The real gaps hide in three places:
- Fashion: Amazon.ae takes 15%, noon takes 27%.
- Electronics accessories above AED 250: Amazon.ae drops to 8%, noon stays at 15% or 20%.
- Grocery above AED 50: noon (9%) is cheaper than Amazon.ae (11%).
So the honest answer to amazon ae vs noon fees is: it depends on your category and your price point, and a couple of dirhams on the wrong side of a price threshold can cost you more than the platform choice itself. The rest of this guide shows the maths.
Heads up on sources: Amazon.ae and noon both revise their fee schedules during the year, and noon updated several UAE rates on 10 September 2026. I've used the latest published figures I could verify as of 2 November 2026. Always confirm against your own seller dashboard before you set prices (links at the end).
What it really costs to sell on Amazon UAE and noon
People search for how much does it cost to sell on Amazon UAE and expect one number. There isn't one. Every sale carries up to four layers of cost.
- Account or plan fee. As of late September 2026, Amazon.ae states that Professional accounts are available with no monthly subscription fee for a limited time. Older guides quote around AED 99–100 a month, so treat the waiver as a promotion that could end. Noon charges no monthly subscription.
- Referral fee (commission). A percentage of the sale price that depends on category. Both platforms apply a minimum of AED 1 per item in most categories.
- Fulfilment. FBA on Amazon, FBN on noon, or your own shipping. Fees depend on size, weight and whether the selling price is above or below AED 25.
- Storage and extras. Amazon.ae charges AED 2 per cubic foot per month on FBA stock. Returns, removals and long-term storage come on top.
Then there's 5% UAE VAT on the fees themselves. If you hold a UAE trade licence and are VAT registered, you can usually recover it. If not, it's a real cost.
Amazon.ae referral fees by category (2026)
The Amazon UAE selling fees below are the published category rates as of September 2026. The Amazon.ae referral fee is applied to the total sale price, with a AED 1 minimum per item (AED 0 for grocery and pet products).
| Category | Amazon.ae referral fee |
|---|---|
| Apparel and shoes | 15% |
| Home and kitchen | 15% |
| Beauty, baby, pet | 8% up to AED 50, 15% above |
| Perfumes | 15% (13% on FBA) |
| Consumer electronics | 7% |
| Mobile phones | 5% |
| Electronics accessories | 15% up to AED 250, 8% above |
| Grocery | 5% up to AED 50, 11% above |
| Jewellery | 16% up to AED 1,000, 5% above |
| Toys and sports | 14% |
| All other categories | 10% |
Noon commission rates by category 2026
Noon's commission works the same way: a percentage of the selling price, with a AED 1 minimum per item. These are the UAE rates in force after the 10 September 2026 revision, as reported by sources reading noon's fee annexes.
| Category | Noon UAE commission |
|---|---|
| Apparel and footwear | 27% |
| Home, kitchen, decor, bedding | 15% |
| Beauty, baby, pet | 8% up to AED 50, 15% above |
| Perfumes | 14% |
| Consumer electronics | 5% to 10% by sub-type |
| Mobile phones | 6% up to AED 500, 5% above |
| Laptops | 6% |
| Electronics accessories | 15% top brands, 20% others |
| Grocery and food | 9% |
| Jewellery | 16% up to AED 1,000, 5% above |
| Toys | 14% |
| Sports | 14% (15% for some outdoor types) |
| Books | 15% |
| All other categories | 14% |
A word of caution. You'll find older blog posts quoting noon fashion at 12–20%, or a flat 2% payment fee on top. Those figures don't match the current annex I could find, so check the date on whatever you're reading, and verify in the noon Partners help centre.
Side by side: referral fee in AED at three price points
This is where it gets useful. Here is the commission only, in dirhams, on a AED 50, AED 99 and AED 349 item.
| Category | AED 50 (Amazon / noon) | AED 99 (Amazon / noon) | AED 349 (Amazon / noon) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home and kitchen | 7.50 / 7.50 | 14.85 / 14.85 | 52.35 / 52.35 |
| Beauty | 4.00 / 4.00 | 14.85 / 14.85 | 52.35 / 52.35 |
| Fashion | 7.50 / 13.50 | 14.85 / 26.73 | 52.35 / 94.23 |
| Electronics accessories | 7.50 / 7.50–10.00 | 14.85 / 14.85–19.80 | 27.92 / 52.35–69.80 |
| Grocery | 2.50 / 4.50 | 10.89 / 8.91 | 38.39 / 31.41 |
Two patterns jump out. Fashion is dramatically cheaper on Amazon.ae at every price. And grocery flips: Amazon wins under AED 50, noon wins above it.
Real profit on three products
Commission is only one line. To see what you actually keep, I've built three worked examples. Each uses the same assumptions so the platforms are compared fairly.
Assumptions (please adjust for your own product):
- Standard parcel, 0.5 to 1 kg, sold above AED 25, fulfilled by the platform (FBA or FBN).
- Fulfilment fee of AED 10.50 on both platforms.
- Storage of roughly AED 0.30 per unit for one month (based on 0.15 cubic feet at AED 2). I've assumed the same on noon as a placeholder.
- Landed cost is your product plus freight, duty and clearance.
- Excludes advertising, returns and the 5% VAT on fees.
Example 1: AED 50 beauty product (landed cost AED 18)
Both platforms charge 8% here, so the result is identical.
| Line | AED |
|---|---|
| Selling price | 50.00 |
| Referral fee (8%) | −4.00 |
| Fulfilment | −10.50 |
| Storage | −0.30 |
| Landed cost | −18.00 |
| Profit per unit | 17.20 (34.4%) |
Looks healthy. Now watch what happens if you nudge the price up by one dirham.
The AED 50 cliff
Both platforms jump from 8% to 15% on beauty, baby and pet items once the price passes AED 50. At AED 51 the commission becomes AED 7.65, fees total AED 18.45, and profit falls to AED 14.55. You raised the price by AED 1 and lost AED 2.65 per unit. Unless your product genuinely justifies a bigger price jump, AED 49 or AED 50 is often the smarter shelf price. (This assumes the rate applies to the whole price once the threshold is crossed, which is how the published tables read. Confirm in your fee calculator.)
Example 2: AED 99 fashion item (landed cost AED 35)
This is where the platforms really split.
| Line | Amazon.ae (AED) | Noon (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Selling price | 99.00 | 99.00 |
| Referral fee | −14.85 (15%) | −26.73 (27%) |
| Fulfilment | −10.50 | −10.50 |
| Storage | −0.30 | −0.30 |
| Landed cost | −35.00 | −35.00 |
| Profit per unit | 38.35 (38.7%) | 26.47 (26.7%) |
That's AED 11.88 more in your pocket on every unit sold on Amazon.ae. Over 1,000 units, it's nearly AED 12,000. Noon does have the larger local shopper base in some segments, so the answer isn't automatic, but you'd need noon to outsell Amazon by a clear margin to make up the difference.
Example 3: AED 349 electronics accessory (landed cost AED 215)
| Line | Amazon.ae (AED) | Noon, top brand 15% (AED) | Noon, other 20% (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selling price | 349.00 | 349.00 | 349.00 |
| Referral fee | −27.92 (8%) | −52.35 | −69.80 |
| Fulfilment | −10.50 | −10.50 | −10.50 |
| Storage | −0.30 | −0.30 | −0.30 |
| Landed cost | −215.00 | −215.00 | −215.00 |
| Profit per unit | 95.28 (27.3%) | 70.85 (20.3%) | 53.40 (15.3%) |
Above AED 250, Amazon.ae's lower 8% band does a lot of work. An unbranded accessory could earn almost half as much on noon.

Talk to CoTasksThe costs the rate card doesn't show
The tables above are a clean starting point, not the whole story. Before you commit stock, factor in these.
- VAT on fees. Both platforms add 5% VAT on top of their fees. Recoverable if you're VAT registered in the UAE. If you're not, it eats roughly another 5% of your total fees. On Example 1, that's about AED 0.74.
- Advertising. PPC on Amazon and sponsored products on noon are separate and often the biggest variable cost for new listings.
- Returns. Fashion returns run far higher than home or electronics, and refunded orders can still cost you fees and handling.
- Payout timing. One source reports Amazon.ae pays every two weeks and noon pays weekly. Plan working capital accordingly.
- Licensing. Amazon.ae requires a valid UAE commercial licence. Noon has a cross-border route for some overseas sellers, which changes the whole cost picture for non-UAE businesses.
So which platform wins by category?
- Fashion and footwear: Amazon.ae, by a wide margin.
- Electronics accessories above AED 250: Amazon.ae.
- Home and kitchen, beauty, toys, jewellery: roughly a tie on commission. Decide on traffic, ads and logistics.
- Grocery above AED 50: noon is slightly cheaper. Below AED 50, Amazon.ae is.
- Phones and laptops: both are cheap (5–7%), but margins are thin because competition is brutal.
Most serious sellers end up on both. Start where the fees favour you, prove the product, then expand.
How to build your own noon seller fees calculator
You don't need fancy software. A spreadsheet with six columns does the job:
- Selling price
- Referral fee % (look up your category and price band)
- Fulfilment fee (match size tier, weight, and the AED 25 price split)
- Monthly storage per unit
- Landed cost
- VAT on fees (5% if you can't recover it)
Profit per unit = price − (referral + fulfilment + storage + VAT on fees) − landed cost. Run it at your planned price, then again at AED 1 above and below every threshold (AED 25, 50, 250, 1,000). You'll find the cliffs before they find you.
If you'd rather skip the spreadsheet work, CoTasks can model your SKUs for you across both marketplaces before you ship a single carton.
